Seasonal Fundraising
Car Wash and Baked Goods Sale: The Car Wash is a fun event in which all the families can participate and several thousands of dollars are raised each year. We need help with organization and advertising of the event, organizing the bake sale and washing cars on the day of the event.
Harvest Festival: Help organize fun activities involving our organic garden. We also need help with the food sale and the raffle tickets.
QSP Gift Wrap: Join us and help check and send out the orders as well as distribute orders when they arrive.
Book Fairs: These events provide new books for the library. The school receives books worth approximately 40% of the Book Fair sales. Volunteers are needed to assist with book sales during school, after school and during evenings.
Read-a-Thon: This event occurs around Dr. Seuss’s birthday in February. The students love to participate and it encourages good reading habits and skills. You can assist with advertising and organizing pledge forms, prize giveaways and collecting pledged monies.
FiestaVal: Our annual multicultural celebration is both a community-building and fundraising event. We need volunteers who can help organize this event, collect donations for the raffle, help with the food sale and games, help with the set-up and clean-up and other activities.
Ongoing Fundraising
Sweatshirt/T-shirt Sales: Help sell Fairmount t-shirts and sweat shirts after school and during other Fairmount events.
Scrip/E-scrip: Promote scrip programs and help families understand and sign up for them. This is a no-effort way to make money while you shop: participating merchants donate a percentage of the sale directly to Fairmount. This program includes E-scrip (Safeway), Cole Hardware, Target, Rainbow Grocery and many others.
Box Tops For Education: Help organize the collection of General Mills -Box Tops For Education- and work with classes to collect, count and send box tops to raise money for Fairmount.
Grants Committee: Be part of this committee to help increase funding for enrichment, safety and education at Fairmount. You can also help with research and grant-writing. We especially need parents to step up and help in this area.
